Legendary Ghanaian music producer, Roro has accused Lynx Entertainment signee and Vodafone Ghana Music Award ‘Artiste of the Year’ Kuami Eugene of sampling a song he produced without seeking his permission.
This comes after Kuami Eugene released his song ‘Dollar On You’ and used a line from the late Prophet Seth Frimpong’s song ‘Okumcholla’.
According to veteran sound engineer and producer Roro in an interview on Pure FM, he owns the right to the song by Kuami Eugene and stated that Kuami Eugene and his manager should have done the needful by seeking permission before using line in his song.
“Richie and Kuami should know better. I felt disrespect when I had to rather contact them myself over this,” he said during the interview. However, he added that “I have been in touch with them and they have agreed to share royalties with us over the song“.
