The Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has emphatically espoused that Ghanaians are wasting their time talking about hair-related issues in the country while others are making strides and hitting milestones in other jurisdictions.
His statement comes on the back of outburst on social media and offline over the refusal of one JHS graduate, Tyron who was refused admission to Achimota School because of his dreadlocks.
TV3’s Parliamentary Correspondent, Komla Kluste reported on Wednesday March 24 that
“So, I approached the Minister of Education yesterday for his opinion on the Achimota Rastafarian matter, he declined an interview saying that ‘when people are busy researching how to go to Mars, we are wasting precious time on hair discussion.”
