Ghanaian music producer and CEO of Lynx Entertainment, Richie Mensah has lashed out at the media for propagating ‘nonsense’ and not doing their research well before putting out stories to tarnish his artist, Kuami Eugene’s image.
This comes after a Nigerian singer accused Kuami Eugene of song plagiarism as he claims Kuami Eugene’s ‘Show Body’ song was lifted from his song but Richie Mensah has set the records straight that Kuami Eugene’s ‘Show Body’ song and the Nigerian singer’s ‘Show Body’ though they have the same song title.
In reaction to this accusation, Richie Mensah who spoke to Doreen Avio in an interview rubbished the claims by the Nigerian singer that he stole his song as he revealed that Kuami Eugene had already put out the track list for his ‘Son of Africa’ album in July but the Nigerian artist released his ‘Show Body’ song in August, making his allegation flawed.
Richie Mensah said he is ready to go to court and to him the case is a foolish case but it is up to the court to decide who really owns the right to the song.
